If I'm not carving 'em, I'm eating 'em...

It's no secret I'm in love with all things pumpkin, and I've already declared pumpkin bread is my favorite reason for fall.

I love the aroma of pumpkin bread and pie cooking in my house, so I did not hesitate to try this recipe for iced pumpkin cookies.  This recipe not only created the desired effect of infusing my home with that delicious pumpkin smell, but it also satisfied my pumpkin craving (this recipe makes a ton) with a moist cookie that can sit out on the countertop for days without going stale.

This recipe is easy to follow, even the icing which adds an ideal amount of sweetness to these savory cookies (you can also substitute a cream cheese frosting, but I wanted to practice the art of drizzling!).

Apparently I'm not the only one who's keen to enjoy the flavor of pumpkin.  Check out these pictures of a pumpkin devoured by a squirrel.  Our dog Monty forlornly gazes at the damage.  Oh, what a guard dog!
